Well, the latest Rapture has come and gone. Some people are disapointed, others are not surprised and yet others are already calculating the next return of Jesus. Besides the fact that this is the third time I have found myself left behind, the main reason why I was not surprised to find the world just as it had been before 6:00 is that I can read the Bible.
Jesus tells us to discern the signs of the times. He never told us to lift a bunch of texts and create complicated mathematical equations. He does tell us no man knows the day or hour. He does tell us of many things that must happen first (just read Matt 24). Revelation gives us yet more details of the time leading to the end of time and the return of our Lord. The only way the rapture could accure in the very immediate future ( as in the next few months) is if Jesus was lieing to us in those passages in Scripture.
Honestly folks, when the end does come it will not be reported in the news but rather, proclaimed by the voice of the Archangel. Being prepared has nothing to do with stocking up on water, food or anything els. The only way to be prepared is to repent and believe in your heart the beautiful salvation of Jesus. When asked "what must we do?", Peter did not say work out an unreliable prophecy calender. He told them "Repent and be baptised everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins." This is the only way to prepare for when Jesus really does come back for his people.
